.. well personally I am not that surprised to read that statement made exclusively by outspoken Hamid Albar.
I mean, be realistic - 10 members are contesting 2 available posts to become next Vice Presidents, which includes a used-to-be-hopeful Muhyiddin Yassin who has chickened out at the eleventh hour to compete for the coveted post of Deputy President. What else? Pak Lah and Najib Razak impose a discreet barring on members to contest top two posts. And the latter even praised Wanita UMNO for its decision not to hold contests for the top two posts of its wing.
These are the examples of "power crazy" people. Why did I say that? Very simple, people do not want these politicians anymore but they choose to remain defiant in putting themselves in power, ignoring the grassroots of their own party and impose dictatorial rules in incriminating their own followers of being splitters should these people speak against them.
I guess the first report done by an UMNO veteran today against Pak Lah and Najib Razak would not be the first & last. The report was lodged with Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) for alleged abuse of power by the duo as mentioned on Malaysiakini.
